Mengajar .. suatu kegiatan yang sangat mendarah daging dalam jiwaku. Tanpa mengajar, hatiku terasa hampa, badanku terasa sakit. Walau aku dalam demam sekali pun, bila aku harus mengajar, maka insya Allah rasa itu terkurangi. Rasa bete dan stress terkurangi bahkan hilang ketika mengajar. Bagiku, mengajar adalah panggilan jiwa yang tak bisa ditawar-tawar. Kuberikan ilmu yang ada padaku untukmu semua, siswaku. Tak hanya mentransfer namun juga mentransform, kata Bapak Arief Rachman, dosen idolaku dulu. Mengajar itu juga dengan hati. Karena itu kuharap yang kuajar juga merasakan bahwa pelajaran itu adalah menyenangkan, that English is fun! Saya takkan mengajarkan muluk-muluk. saya hanya ingin menularkan bahwa berbahasa Inggris itu menyenangkan karena dengan menguasai bahasa lain kita bisa berkomunikasi dengan banyak orang dari berbagai negara, ras dan suku. Dalam hal ini adalah Bahasa Inggris. kalau kita sudah menyenangi, dan tidak menganggapnya sebagai momok, maka kita pasti akan dengan enteng saja mempelajarinya.

Dalam pengajaranku selama ini baik mengajar Playgroup, SD, SMP, SMA bahkan di PTIK ini, alhamdulillah kasihku dalam mengajar rupanya terasakan juga oleh siswa-siswa didikku. Terkadang.. terasa berat bagi kami untuk berpisah kala kami sudah saling mengenal lebih dekat.

Hari terakhir mengajar bahasa Inggris Angkatan 52,UAS Speaking TEST...

Mahasiswa terakhir telah selesai menceritakan pengalamannya yang tak terlupakan selama mereka menjadi polisi sebelum masuk PTIK, kuucapkan salam perpisahan, dan tak lupa permohonan maafku bila selama mengajar mereka aku ada kata mau pun tindak yang tak kusengaja dan sengaja yang menyakiti hati mereka. (Biasanya sich jawabannya, "ngggaaaak, Maaam!!" hehehe nggak tau tulus apa beneran, tuh)

Tiba-tiba Effos, sang Ketua Kelas berdiri dan memanggil teman-teman yang memang dikeluarkan karena test Speaking itu adalah test yang face to face satu demi satu berhadapan dengan dosennya. " Mam, jangan pulang dulu, ini kita ada untuk Mam, habis Mam nggak mau diajak makan keluar siiich". Dalam bengongku tahu-tahu ,"taraaa..." seorang deliverman McD datang dengan segedombrongan kotak McD. "Yuuuuk" dan bertepuk tanganlah mahluk-mahluk lapar di kelasku. "Ya Ampyuuuun" aku ternganga.

Dan dengan semangat mereka melahap barang bukti itu. Karena sedang shaum, maka aku tidak ikut makan..

Ah, para mahasiswaku tersayang...
